Leonid Mozgovoy

Leonid Mozgovoy was born on 17 April 1941 in Tula. In 1961–1965 he was trained as an actor in Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinema (class of Boris Zon). Since 1965–1970 he had been an actor-soloist of Leningrad Music Comedy Theatre, and since 1970 — an actor of the Concert Philharmonic of Leningrad Region.

Since 1993 he has cooperated with St. Petersburg “Classical” Theatre. Here he played principal parts in the productions after Anton Tchekhov, Feodor Dostoevsky, Leonid Andreev.

At present Leonid Mozgovoy works for the state concert organization “St. Petersburg-Concert”. Here in different years of his life he created and performed solo performances which were his own compositions based on various internationally-known literary works. Today the actor's repertoire numbers 15 solo performances.

He was first given a cinema role by Alexander Sokurov.
