Sergey Razhuk

Sergey Razhuk was born in 1956 in Leningrad. In 1978 he graduated from Leningrad Polytechnic Institute and in 1987 from Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinema (actors' and directors' class of Georgy Tovstonogov and Arcady Katsman). In the end of 1970 – beginning of 1980s he performed on amateur stages of Leningrad. In 1980–90s he staged theatre productions in Leningrad, Krasnoyarsk, Tallinn (Estonia). Since 1989 he has played in the movies on TV in Saint Petersburg and Moscow.

Since 1989 Sergey Razhuk has been working for Lenfilm Studio. He has been second director and assistant to the director for a number of movies by well-known Russian filmmakers such as Alexey German (“Khrustalev, I Need the Car!”), Alexey Balabanov (“On Monsters and Men”), Victor Aristov (“The Satan”, “Rains Upon the Ocean”) and others. He was second director for Sokurov's “Taurus” and “Russian Ark”.
